Tank-cleaning

Customer: Cleaning Twente
Location: Hengelo
Application: Cleaning tankcars, IBC’s and cans

In Mid 90’s Cleaning Twente (CT) and Septo signed an agreement to invest in a new technology called the Membrane Bio Reactor (MBR). CT became the very first industrial tank cleaner in the Netherlands with a full-scale installation.  Being a prominent member in the sector organization ATCN, all eyes were on them. Using common sense Septo and CT succeeded in building a very efficient biological waste water treatment for very difficult waste water. As a result, 25 years later, the MBR is a must-have for nearly every tank cleaning company in a country well known for its water treatment technology.

A few years ago,  the founder Mr. Sanderman handed the baton to Mr. Kaalverink and Mr. Buitenhuis. With a new investor and new leadership, Cleaning Twente keeps its front position in the market. Year after year CT manages to show excellent company results by combining new water technology with ongoing efficiency improvement.

When Mr. Buitenhuis and Mr. Kaalverink were asked why Septo, they answered: “Septo dared to take on the adventure with us to clean very difficult waste water. Jeroens enthousiastic approach makes it easy to work with him. Combining knowledge from the University of Twente and his own he was able to build a top notch waste water treatment facility that doesn’t use any chemicals to clean the water. That is very important to us. We clean a lot of chemicals over here, but we do not want to use chemicals to clean the water. The biological approach fits our company vision.

CT keeps on innovating. We are right now into exploring the possibilities to reduce water and energy costs by recycling effluent or using biological heat to warm our cleaning water for example as well to increase the capacity of our existing waste water treatment facility. We have asked Septo to help us again with this new adventure and our ambitious plans as he understands our needs."
