Tankcleaning Geldermalsen is the newest tank cleaning facility in the Netherlands. The Van Ziel transport family offers the transport sector the opportunity to clean the interior of both tank trucks and tank containers at the strategic junction of the A15 and A2 highways.

An important part of the investment includes a water treatment plant that purifies the wastewater to such an extent that clean water can be discharged. This ambition led to the granting of a permit that allows Van Ziel to accept virtually all offered tank trucks for cleaning.

Based on numerous references in the tank cleaning industry, Septo Bio was selected as the supplier of the water treatment technology. Initially, Septo Bio was commissioned to develop a concept in which Van Ziel could actively participate, in order to incorporate their specific requirements. One of those requirements was that the installation be designed and maintained in such a way that the water treatment plant looks and feels like an integral part of the entire tank cleaning process. Both the equipment and the facilities should be clean and tidy, creating a pleasant working environment for both staff and customers.

The result is a water treatment system that, after just nine months of operation, not only removes 98% of contaminants from the wastewater but also has the elegant appearance of a freshly unboxed iPhone.
