In 2017, Boasso took over all tank cleaning activities from Den Hartogh in Barcelona, Amiens, Dordrecht and the Botlek. At these locations wastewater is purified with a Membrane Bioreactor from Septo Biotechniek.
Shortly after MBR effluent was discharged into the sewer in Dordrecht, the following graph showed a rapid decline in COD effluent.
