Refinery palmoil

In may 2007 the largest palmoil refinery in Europe appointed Septo to build a full scale membrane bioreactor for treating the refinery's wastewater.

The pilot proved that the system generates excellent quality. The low pH of the raw wastewaterdoes not harm the working of the bilogical process. The pH of the water is even increased from 4 to 7 due to the bacteria, wherefore dosage of chemicals is not even needed anymore.

The wasterwater treatment plant was fully operational in December 2007.
